Winter Blues Turned Golden - 3 Ways to Beat Energetic Depression

We all get the blues. Sometimes it’s hard to sort through the maze of depression and darkness and open to more light. Winter season brings holidays, social communion, and sometimes stress, anxiety and possibly feelings of depression. How can energy medicine help?

Featured are three tips that can support your everyday and professional efforts to move through the tunnel of depressed feelings. These are based on viewing depressed sensations through a chakra perspective.

Our subtle energy centers, called the chakras, are centered in our spine. These swirling units of light send subtle and physical fields of energy frontside and backside. Energies extending frontward create our future and those emanating backside anchor us in our past. Energetic depression occurs when too many subtle energies are pulling us backward, causing doom, gloom, and imbalance. How can we help pull these rearward energies into the center of the chakras and be in the here and now? Try these ideas:
  1. Ask for a Hara Line. The Hara is a beam of golden energy that falls from the universe straight down through our spine. This gold light then affixes us in the center of the earth, keeping us grounded. When this energetic stream is strong and flowing, any energetically depressed energies shift into our chakra centers. Breathe deeply and then picture this beam of energy streaming through you even while it continually adjusts your chakra energies.

  2. Breathe into your diaphragm. The diaphragm is the bodily center of the Hara’s energy. Visualize a ball of the Hara line break off and infuse into your diaphragm. Every time you breathe, you’ll be healing the reasons your energies are depressed or protruding from the back.

  3. Embrace the past. Intuitively sense which chakra backside is most stuck in the past. You’ll psychically sense, feel, or see a blob of energy backside. Now embrace that energy. Ask to perceive the situation, memory, or emotions that have been trapped in there. Let yourself lovingly work through the related issues and then reassert your Hara Line so the “lost” energy can reenter your chakra center.
